After getting a flat tire 20km into my drive i called hertz service line. They claimed to have english speaking reps over the phone but after taking down the wrong phone number and license plate it was clear that they should not make that claim. They told me a tow truck would come in a half hour (ended up being almost 3 hours because they took down the wrong numbers) and change the tire or they would exchange the car. After the truck finally came and put a temp spare on i was told there was nothing they could do until the next day. I said i would meet them back in nice to exchange cars. They apparently thought i said i would take the car to a garage and replace the tire. So the next morning there wasnt even a car in nice for me to exchange. So i was forced to go wait for nearly 3 hours at a garage they sent me to, only to find out they hadnt actually contacted the garage to secure a payment. After fixing the tire, the mechanic wanted ME to pay for it... i said hertz is paying for it which meant he had to spend an hour on the phone with hertz to straighten it out (he was also not impressed with hertz). Then to top it all off, when i went to return the car they had no record of me going to the garage to have the tire fixed and thought i still had the temp spare on the car.

A complete sytemic failure which ruined an entire day of my vacation and caused me to have to spend money on a hotel.
I will NEVER use Hertz again and i hope anyone reading this will not either.
