A group of us chose Le Plô over the myriad other resaturants in Carcassonne old town as it's menu held dishes other than cassoulet and entrecote, plus we loved the adorable covered terasse with a perfect round table for our merry band of six.

Service was fast (but not too fast) and friendly, food was excellent (and as a recently qualified chef I have pretty high standards!) and the whole evening passed in a leisurely haze.

Would definitely recomment to those who are looking for something a little quieter than the rushed restaurants around the main squares!

Had an excellent early evening meal for four here. The house wine was good and the service excellent, with a nice atmosphere inside. I had a rare sirloin which was really nicely cooked with a tasty salad. The sweets were good, I had a well prepared dame blanche. The coffee was fine and the bill not over the top.

Very good local food in a menu at 16.50 euros. The cassoulet was great, so were the trippes. Great quality price ratio.

The 21 EUR menu captured everyone's interest due to the welcome kir, the baked camenbert or foie gras starter and the lushious choices for main and dessert.
