This airport was by far the worst airport I have ever been through. I had a small cooler storing breast milk for my infant. The cooler contained an ice pack to keep the milk cold. This was ok at every airport I have brought this through except Marseille. The security at Marseille confiscated my ice pack and told me it was not allowed in the plane's cabin. It baffles me that milk is allowed but an ice pack to keep the milk fresh is not. When I questioned security on this policy, they became very irate and disrespectful. I should have thrown the breast milk in their faces because taking my ice pack caused the milk to spoil. There was no point in bringing the milk without the ice pack. Why does Marseille airport want to starve infants?

It gets the job done, but that's about it. I am French and I am ashamed of this airport. The boarding gate made me feel like I was cattle walking through a slaughter house. The design is horrendous, organisation non-existent, the painters seem to not have been able to make up their mind between purple or orange, the toilets are sporting various colors aside from white, even the TV screen are unhelpful with their purple and bright green lettering on orange background.

This is the most deplorable airport that I have ever seen. It looks like a desolate old factory from the inside. It's dirty, stinky and the staff is the most unfriendly that you will ever meet. The toilets are horrible and disgusting. I wonder if they ever get cleaned. The toilets have no seats, there is almost no soap and all is simply disgusting. The airport has no serious facilities and when you order a coffee or a bread, be prepared to meet the most unfriendly servants you will ever meet. If this place is not a must for your destination, simply avoid this airport.

Very very bad ideea to viait this aeroport, its amazing how they are working. If you are witch a child for them is the same, .
Esitate to go in Marseille with an airplain

EDIT:
My previous rating was 1 star but following today's experience I feel like I need to increase my note as everything went smoothly:
- luggage security staff was friendly
- border control was polite
- there was no delay due to the airport
- queues were well organised
- announcements and directions were clear
Thank you!

Small and quiet. A bit old looking.
Easy access to the bus decks that take you to nearby towns.

Really bad experience. We had to fly from gate 42 and the access to gates 20-28 where the duty free shops are was closed... for some reason. The duty free shops were also all closed at 10:00 in the morning.. I have flown from smaller airports where they open at 7:00 am. Staff is not the friendliest and you have limited access to everything.

Remember you must go through passport control before reaching gates. They only let a few flights through at a time so you could get stuck in a long line and potentially miss your flight. THERE ARE NO TOILETS IN THE BOARDING AREA. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS BEFORE ENTERING PASSPORT CONTROL.

I had been delayed twice in a row in the last 5 days flying here. A part from the staff being very unfriendly the airport falls apart. There is not even toilet seat in the wc.. Very poor example of French grandeur

Probably the worse airport I've been to for the following reasons:
- half an hour wait for no reason whatsoever. They were just too lazy to send someone to give directions when getting our of the planes, so we were not allowed to get out
- my plane was one hour late in total but the displays and the website were not up to date - which means the people waiting for me had to pay one hour of parking and waste an hour of their life
- the police at the passport control were just chatting away and one of them was literally playing on her phone (yes.. wish I was joking) even though the queue was massive. Really unfriendly too, no hi, no goodbye no nothing.
Fly to this airport if you don't have the choice & if the price is good money. Expect delays and lazy staff

Small and modest airport, they really kept it simple and efficient, let's say. At least your trip from the plane to the outside takes 5 min max
