I can't say much about the surrounding countryside, as it was drizzling when we were there and we left early to go see the Tour de France.

That said, the owner speaks a little english, was very welcoming and provided a nice breakfast for us, in the huge downstairs kitchen/dining area. We cleaned up afterward, since that appears to be the rule in this type of place.

Gite très recommandable pour un séjour ou une étape , à deux ou en groupe pour un budget tout à fait correct.

We found this placing using Google Maps and had no idea what to expect. This is really a summer hostel for equestrian travelers and wasn't really that appropriate for our needs. It is a very old building, nicely fixed up with a common area upstairs and two private rooms and a dormitory downstairs. If you wanted to bring food and cook your own meals you could easily do so.

Gite superbe et accueillant autour de la grande cheminée. La place correspond tout à fait à la capacité annoncée pour que chacun ait son espace. Les sanitaires sont propres et fonctionnels. La cuisine et l'équipement permettent de vivre et cuisiner confortablement même en groupe.

It was quite clean, but we were expecting a private bath, based on the way the property was listed on another web site. There is actually only one bathroom for everyone staying in the two private rooms and the 12+ bed dormitory. As no one else was there, this wasn't a big problem, but it could have been, also the fact that towels weren't provided.

Un gîte très bien aménagé avec sa superbe cheminée. Beaucoup d'espace ce qui permet de ne pas se sentir les uns sur les autres, même à 15 personnes. Un environnement calme, assez proche de la mer, de la ville et de sites touristiques superbes (Sainte Barbe par exemple). Possibilité de se restaurer et de prendre un verre à proximité. Des sanitaires confortables et en quantité suffisante pour que la toilette de tous ne prenne pas des heures. Tout ça pour des prix raisonnables. Un seul bémol : les chambres sont assez mal insonorisées mais, avec des boules Quiès et de la bonne humeur, on parvient à bien se reposer.
Je conseille fortement cet endroit à tous les groupes qui ont envie de passer un moment chaleureux dans un endroit sympa avec un budget pas trop élevé.

L'environnement du gite est magnifique avec de belles ballades et/ou randonnées aux alentours. La découverte du centre Bretagne et la magie de ses ambiances m'ont enchantée! La mer n'est pas loin si l'on veut.

My girlfriend and I ended up at the Gite when my bicycle fell apart on a cycling holiday, the owners were EXTREMELY helpful, and both speak excellent English. We ended up staying there for four nights. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are also good. They also offer breakfast on request, and have land for camping. There is a town a couple of miles away with two big supermarkets.
And if you find yourself stuck there as I did, why not have a horse riding lesson!
