Not So! There is a female member of staff (Possibly the owner) who will cast her not so leaned eye over you and scan you for a quick credit check. Funny thing, the only restriction for us on purchases in that shop were the size of the bottles and the remaining space in our boot.

The gentleman who helped me asked for what I was looking for and directed me to a very nice local Champagne that was very affordable. From my talking to him, he had a real passion for the shop's Champagne's.

Its a funny thing, spending money.. Or tying to spend money. You would have thought it would be so easy in something like a shop... Especially if you know its a Vintners and know a little about us...

BEWARE!!! Walked into this shop which is just steps away from the entrance to the Notre Dame Cathedral to price a bottle of champagne. We weren't in the shop for more than 3 minutes when my girlfriend pointed out a cool wooden champagne rack that wasn't for sale.. I went to take a quick pic of it when out of nowhere the old lady shop keeper started yelling at me "no pictures". I was shocked because I've never heard of that before in a store. She proceeded to berate me saying, "this is a shop, not a museum"! She pointed out there was a small no camera icon on the outside, but c'mon a complete melt down over that?! In this day and age?! Well, anyway, we walked across the street and bought a 159€ bottle.

You can buy good champagne from France to small independent wineries



Even as we chose three half bottles, still nothing... I noticed the French Made Whisky? Yes, French Whisky! But still nothing... I had ask at the counter while we paid for bottles...and the reply was verging on the curt...

If I remember correctly, the British now drink more Champaign per person than the French. The World of Champaign is a complex and somewhat confusing one - These two details alone should have meant her showing us through the selection... But still she kept herself busy just keeping us under consent surveillance... not saying a word.

Great spot for a select collection of the finest Champagne the region has to offer. Lauren (m) helped us a great deal and gave us some local reccomendations also.

I had taken a Champagne tour and asked the guide for a shop to find local Champagne's that I likely couldn't get outside of France. She suggested this shop.

Great selection, you can find some real bargins and they provide a very broad choice of champagnes.....tends to get full....
