That was a very fast tour and that was a very bad place to learn about champagne, but it is one of the best and one of the cheapest liquid from that region. A lot of kitsch art in the underground. Luck of elegance and finesse.
For me still nr 1 to visit is Châmpagne Le Castellane and Ruinart.

The tour includes a scientific and historic angle. The tour guide we had really knew her stuff. I remembered her from 10 years before.

Will go back!

The more you know about champagne already the better the tours become because the guides love being asked questions.

The caves visit is not very interesting. 30mn watching a video and 15mn visiting some caves that are not in use and contain some bottles and some workart. The woman guiding through the visit looks without any motivation at all....and you pay 7€ for that (+ 1/3 of a single cup of champagne). You may be interested in other caves.

We just stopped in for a tasting and the host was more than helpful. Knowing that we were from Australia she found some places for us to find locally to purchase. They have a great range and some beautiful champagne. No wonder it's one of the top local drops

Wir erhielten eine sehr informative deutschsprachige Führung - in erster Linie durch die Keller des Hauses - mit anschließender Verköstigung. Selbst anfangs reservierte "Biertrinker" waren am Ende begeistert über den Besuch bei Canard Duchene.

Eine Perle in der Champagne, eine super informative Tour im sehr, sehr schönen Keller. Anschliessend gibt es eine Degustation der verschiedenen Champanger bei dem jeder ausführlich präsentiert wird. Preis Leistung der Champanger ist sensationell und diese können vor Ort gekauft werden, mein Tipp ist der Vintage 2008!

The tasting was fantastic because you can buy a ticket to include 2 of any champagnes they make. We went as a couple so tried 4 champagnes and she let us try another couple which we purchased.
