I spent 6 nights at Hotel les Pasteliers in September and enjoyed the stay. It is not a high-end accommodation, but a good value for the money. Located just on the outskirts of a residential area, it is quiet and about a 3-minute walk to the town center / St. Cecile cathedral / Toulouse-Lautrec museum. As a single woman traveling alone, I felt perfectly safe in Albi and could get around very easily during the day and evening. The standard rooms at Hotel les Pasteliers are typically quite small but tidy and comfortable. Upgraded rooms are larger and may be better suited for couples with more luggage. The bathrooms are modern and clean. Beds are firm (not hard) and wonderfully comfy. Rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV, telephone, air conditioning / heat, hot water kettle (with teas and instant coffees) and plenty of electrical outlets. Room #203 is a good standard room choice for a single traveler and #204 for a couple - very small, but they both have an adjoining private patio with french doors leading from the bedroom. Outside is an umbrella, 2 chaise lounges and a table / 2 chairs (#203) and table / 2 chairs (#204). Perfect for sitting at sunset with a glass of wine. The patio may actually be larger than the bedroom!

The hotel owner, Jean-Claude, speaks great English and is extremely helpful with recommendations, directions, or for helping with anything you may have forgotten to bring and need to locate (e.g., additional adaptor plugs).

The train station is about a 6 minute cab drive (with traffic) from the Hotel les Pasteliers and runs about 7 euros. Several banks / ATMs are conveniently located near the hotel.

All-in-all, an enjoyable stay. Recommended.

Tres heureux de profiter de la climatisation. Deco speciale mais tres agreable, mini bar de serie ;) petite colation de bienvenue. parfait

Le patron est très gentil et serviable. Les chambres sont jolies et climatisées. Seule bémol on entend bien les voisins rentrer dans leur chambre...

Joli petit hôtel 2 étoiles propre et confortable. Accueil chaleureux et convivial. Mention spéciale pour le petit déjeuner et sa grande sélection de thés !

Charmant hôtel très bien situé près du centre historique d'Albi... un patron réellement adorable et de très bon conseil.

Es precioso! No es antiguo, es elegante y combina con albi, una ciudad con mucha historia. Ademas tiene todo lo necesario y mas. Muy agradables en el trato. Excelente.

Breakfast is offered (8 euros) in a cute dining area although I opted to walk around the corner to Fouace Cathare La Panetjere bakery / patissarie and buy some wonderful chocolate croissants for less than 1 euro. The pasteries are lovely, as well, and most are less than 2 euros. A true neighborhood bakery.
