The food and cocktails was ace ! Good service too very friendly staff . Great sitting options; I really enjoyed sitting outside and listening to street music and enjoying the atmosphere .

Great cafe on Place de la Contrescarpe. The terrace is perfect for a coffee or beer and people watching, and inside there are comfy chairs and tables where you can read, eat, work, etc.

Lovely location for people watching with kind waiters, however the food was not entirely up to par with the Parmesan risotto and club sandwich being especially disappointing.

We stayed in an apartment in this square and ended up eating here several times. Everything we tried was great. Some of the best cafe food with more than pizza on the menu to try.

Insultingly expensive for what you get.
The square is very sweet with few cars and loads of bars and terraces, Shame we picked the wrong one.

Service was okay, even tho they asked ur to pay after two sips of beer.
Thing is we paid 10 Euros each for a beer. Thats disgusting, seriously do not recommend it.

Nothing special about this cafe but the market is the most wonderful in Paris.

The food was below average. Ordered the duck and was overly cooked. I told the staff and they said that "all Americans like it fully cooked". So apparently he assumed how I like to eat my meat by my appearance. The bread was also so dry! Overly priced. Slow service. Bathrooms are horrible. Would not recommend this place. There are way better restaurants/bars in the area. Unfortunately we picked the wrong one.

Service is slow. We waited for a beer and a cocktail well over 20 minutes. Even with a few reminders to waiter. And the place was not that busy. Location is good for observing the street/nightlife.
