Chambre et prix acceptables mais service catastrophique, très mal accueilli, il doit y avoir mieux un peu plus loin pour conserver de bons souvenirs

The room I stayed in overlooked their small garden. Very basic accommodation but I expected as much for the price I was paying. It was very clean, quiet and a little bit far from downtown Paris specially if you're a tourist with zilch command of their language. Luckily I consider myself a bit of an adventurer and I was up to the task of getting lost in translation and location a gazillion times during my stay in this country... which I did but it was part of the fun.
The owner seemed very nice. I don't speak french well and she didn't speak english well so when I tried to explain to her that I was very sorry but I suspect that I caused a complete power outage in her hotel when I attempted to charge my North American phone with, I guess, a faulty converter she misunderstood and replugged my already burnt charger. There was a bang, a spark, a yell, an open mouth, wide eyes, a burnt hand and a very dark restaurant.
She didn't charge me extra for that little fiasco. I was humbled and my bank account was grateful.
