Firstly, the downside... It is a 2/3 km north of the city. It is deliberately out of the way and there are virtually no facilities outside of the ground. As you approach the stadium, it doesn't really stand out and it felt disappointing. However. when you get into the ground and study the stadium. It becomes increasingly impressive. It is beautifully designed. With over 900 stanchions supporting the structure. This and the white colour, makes it look like a piece of modern art...c'est French style. When you see the pitch for the first time, it takes the breath away. The viewpoint from my seat was excellent. The sound system and the large screens are excellent. New stadia in the uk look the same, lack character and have little architectural style. This lovely stadium is unique and would have had 5 stars if it was closer to the city and/or had more facilities near yo the ground.

Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux is currently also known as the Matmut Atlantique. The French football club FC Girondins de Bordeaux uses this stadium, which was set in operation in 2015. It has a spectator capacity of 42,115. The stadium was also used for UEFA EURO 2016.
11.06.2016: Wales 2 - Slovakia 1.
14.06.2016: Austria 0 - Hungary 2.
18.06.2016: Belgium 3 - Repub. of Ireland 0.
21.06.2016: Croatia 2 - Spain 1.
02.07.2016: Germany 1(6) - Italy 1(5).

A stunning stadium, really different to most 'flat-pack' stadia you tend to find in the UK. the only down side is the location - it's miles away from all pubs/bars/restaurants.

An outstanding stadium. Looks great outside and inside. Wales beat Slovakia 2 1 to end a perfect day

Visited during Euro 2016 - stunning stadium and amazing atmosphere inside.

There is a tram service, but be prepared to queue...

Nice home for thé Girondins thé Bordeaux :) Accessible by tram from Downtown (take in advance at least 1hr! ). Bé fast if you want some snacks.. usually they finish fast. If cold bring à Nice coat if nô.. sunblocker!!

From a Welsh supporter, i loved every bit of Bordeaux, Stadia was magnificent. Thank you for your hospitality Bordeaux
