Nice gastro food - friendly staff

The rest of meal was delicious too - a delicious pasta starter and a pavlova dessert I was far too full to eat (but managed anyway). Service was friendly and spoke English better than I spoke French! But be warned, with the weak pound, it doesn't come cheap ...

Would highly recommend. 5 Star +

Well, I don't think I'd ever say this for a French restaurant, but come hungry if you're planning on eating their signature dish, the local delicacy of cassoulet. The portions are huge, although absolutely delicious.

Great flavors, well-executed and beautifully presented with good service. We were lucky to get a table here when our reservations for another place were dishonored. I suspect this is the best restaurant in Carcassonne, and it's even located in the charming Cité Médiévale.

We live near La Cité and often have the pleasure of eating at the Comte Roger, and we are never disappointed, the food is delicious the head chef and owner Pierre, works with local and seasonal produce to create the finest cuisine. Whether you eat inside in their newly refurbished restaurant or on the terrace you will enjoy the ambiance and the reasonably priced local wine.

Service was great, friendly, courteous, helpful, although the staff was too small to quickly handle the crowd. Food was very well prepared. The problem was very small portions of food. Making this a tasty meal, but poor value. I left hungry after 48 euro.

Comte Roger is near the Aude Gate, slightly off the beaten tourist trail and is definitely worth discovering - and booking too, as it was full, even in late October.
