This place has been awarded two Michelin stars as far as I know. The venue is overlooking the ocean and is a bit off the city centre, making it a very relaxed and cozy spot. The food was incredible, I had no idea that you could get that much flavor out of the ingredients. The price is quite steep, we paid about 500 euro for a three course meal for two people. They also have there intermediary dishes which are amazing. Would totally recommend for the experience.

Highly recommend the Vegetable atarte, and the Citron dessert.

For me, if I want to go back, I know I have had an unforgettable experience. And I want to go back.

The place is very weirdly sexist, however - when we got our menus, we discovered that only my fiancé's had prices on it, while mine did not. I can understand having no-price-listed menus upon request, in case you're treating someone to dinner, but to assume that the man will be paying and the woman shouldn't worry herself about money seems a very odd thing in 2017. I actually did end up paying - they dropped the check next to my fiancé, out of my reach, so he had to hand it to me. Then, even after running my card at the table and being able see my very-female name on the card, it was still placed in front of my fiancé to sign. I had to reach for the pen before getting a startled apology.

So, worth a visit, but I think the restaurant needs to reexamine some very out of date policies.

Too impressed with themselves. The view is very good but if you are staying in Cassis you have seen it many times. Sommelier made an awful recommendation on wine that ruined ability to enjoy "digestion" meal at 95 Euro's per person. Highly acidic rose did not match one piece of the sardine and octopus as the grape flavor was off from dish, and dish was all over the place with overpowering eggplant. Durado was not much better with moraccan flavors of tomato and mustard. Again rose w brought out worst in flavors. Veal "wrapped in bacon" oddly missing bacon was tolerable but again acidic wine was a total mismatch. Tempier rose just a horrific choice for these dishes. Wine itself was not bad just the choice by sommelier was. Also the concept of paying for "home made" water is absurd. Especially when it was only choice of water. Making us sit for 10 minutes with no wine after our pre dinner drinks was just plain weird especially when you showed us our open bottle. Who the heck does that?

NOTE: Villa Madie might be an excellent spot for lunch, owing to its fantastic spot along the Mediterranean.

Amazing views, the food is excellent. Extremely pricey and there is a dress code (as one would expect of a restaurant with 2 Michelin stars). Be sure to get reservations at least a few weeks ahead of time.

Very poor service and very rude. The food was poor to good, depending on the dish. When you tell them the problem, they attack you. There are much better restaurants in the area.

Had a fantastic lunch for an 85th birthday today. Was excellent from start to finish , the food was superbe , complemented by a very professional staff all who spoke great English and made us feel very relaxed and welcome. My mother has to eat gluten free which was dealt with perfectly - she had expertly modified versions of everyone elses plates which were every bit as delicious. As for the setting , it is just magnificent. Would definitely recommend this wonderful experience.

Amazing restaurant, it's a whole experience.

The food though, was absolutely exquisite. The way the sea food was treated and the flavors concentrated in the seafood broth (I want to say a bouillabaisse) still resonated even after a year.

We made our Villa Madie resevation in the nick of time, and even changed into presentable clothes in the car, it was at the end of a rain soaked and very eventful day, and boy were we not disappointed. The restaurant is elegant and the decor very contemporary.
The service is immaculate and as warm/friendly as can be expected from a two star restaurant in France. Sadly we are not french speakers nor are we wine aficionados, but the sommelier was kind enough to explain the minutiae of the regions of wine and what kinds of grapes they correspond with. So we picked one that fit our wallet. The wine was excellent by our standards.

Very good food and attentive service. Other Michelin-starred restaurants I've been to have taken ingredients I don't normally like and made me like them - that wasn't the case here, the wasabi amuse bouche didn't make me like wasabi and the fennel broth didn't make me like fennel, but overall the food was very very good. The views are also excellent. Do bring a jacket or shawl, it gets chilly when the sun goes down.
