Enjoyed delicious lunch of Brittany-style buckwheat galettes, a specialty of the restaurant. My wife had a vegetarian one with wild mushrooms, green beans, and a lettuce salad. I had smoked duck, caramelized apples, and some kind of cheese that looked like a flower. I enjoyed it immensely. One of our French friends was from Brittany, they thought it fairly authentic. We enjoyed a very nice bottle of dry cider with our meal, this is apparently the traditional beverage to enjoy with your buckwheat galette.

Great food. We numbered 16 raucous males and one gracious lady sans reservation or notice and the wait staff worked tirelessly to serve our requests. Wonderful experience. Would go back in a heartbeat.

I had a pleasant experience here among my travels to France. I ordered braised duck, (I am now a vegetarian) but the duck was delicious nonetheless. It had just the right amount of spices, dressing and was cooked well. This dinner, with a side of diet coke hit the spot and was truly a great, memorable first time experience.

Very nice neoclassical style Cafe. Wide choice of tea, right behind the cathedral.

Le Cafe Serpente was inviting, even from the outside. The display windows were well decorated with cute, but classy decorations. Upon entering the cafe, we were greeted by two friendly servers. The cafe/restaurant (we actually ate at the restaurant, attached by a hallway, to the cafe) was clean and quaint. Then --- the absolutely delicious food! My husband and I ordered le ragout de confit de canard, which was so perfectly prepared and so tasty. Our son ordered l'omelette mixed with a salad --- also magnifique! The Picon Biere was a perfect way to end the meal. Everything at this resto deserves two thumbs up!
