Das Fort Mutzig (Kaiser Wilhelm Festung) ist sehr beeindruckend. Es gibt Führungen auf französisch und deutsch, Uhrzeiten haben wir aus dem Netz erfahren. Der Verein der die Anlage instand hält und auch die Führungen veranstaltet leistet eine phänomenale Arbeit. Es wird einem wirklich ein unglaublicher Eindruck übermittelt wie es wohl damals war. Die Führung dauert 2,5 Stunden und ist sehr interessant für groß und klein selbst Hunde dürfen mit.

Very good visit for m'y son as the guide loves the place and shares it well. You'll lose your sense of direction being so deep under the ground. My favorite was the operation room which was just fully renovated. Great work this association does to keep the lessons of history alive.

You can only enter the buildings/area taking a guided tour which takes about 2,5h. Bring a jacket, since temperatures are about 15 degrees inside. Very friendly and well educated tour guide.

Need to come back as soon as possible. Was very interesting and the tour guides were very friendly. We learned so much and lots of fun exploring the Fort. Can't wait to go back!

Fascinating tour of the first "modern" fortress. My advice is to look up the times of the tour in your preferred language beforehand. The tour lasts 2.5 hours but it flew by as there was so much to see. We took young kids with us and they enjoyed it too. No pushchair access though.

You can discover what the life was in a bunker. Hard to imagine it was only 60 years ago.
