Beautiful area, with tons of activities. From mountain biking, hiking, canyoning, via ferrate to beautiful tandem flights over the lush green hills and turquoise lake

The area is particularly great for hiking! There are not as many tourists as you will find closer to Mont Blanc, but the views are just as spectacular.

Blessed silence and a view you will never tire of. Definitely a new favourite.

A little bit futher south is much more beautiful. However if you drive across the area, it is still worth checking out.

Beautiful mountains for hiking! Only the paths could use some attention. The routes are not very obviously signed and sometimes the path is overgrown with plants.

Not a well-known massif, but well worth exploring - ski de fond cross-country skiing in 'little Siberia' (La Féclaz) as well as Le Semnoz, near Annecy, for skiing and a cycling 'must' !

Walks in shady woods up away from the hotter valleys in summer leading to some magnificent views from high cliffs. Insect life in some of the alpine meadows like nowhere else. Usually I'd be skiing in this sort of area so this was a very different experience.

Excellent view on the mountain chains. Nice spot to fly by parasailing.

Huge amount of walks and variety. A heavenly combination of scenery and wildlife. Peaceful, not crowded, with something for everyone
